Consignment Policies
*Recycle your clothing by consigning with us!
*Clothing can be dropped off, clean and on hangers, during working hours. Appointments are preferred.
*For out-of-town or out-of-state mail-in items, please call before sending.
*What's New Consignment reserves the right to accept only clothing which is current (with the exception of vintage items) and in like-new condition.
*As a general policy, consignors will receive 40% of the final sale price of the item. The sale of certain select designer brands may be split 50/50, upon mutual agreement of the owner and consignor. If a consignor wishes to receive a specified amount of money for a given item (for example, fine jewelry, furs, higher end items, etc), this can also be negotiated with the owner.
*Consignor payouts take place the 5th-19th of each month. If a consignor sells an item in December, the payout may be picked up in January, etc.
*An item may not be picked up after it is consigned, unless previously agreed upon by the owner. Inventory (with the exception of high end designer items and gowns, which are marked down at the owner's discretion) is marked down monthly. After a period of four months, unsold items become the property of What's New and are donated to various charities.
*All items are left at the consignor's own risk. What's New Consignment assumes no liability for loss, destruction, or damage of any kind to consigned items (including without limitation, fire damage, water damage, and theft).
